His singing style has tremendous range, from the upbeat tempo of timba to the classical boleros of Benny Moré. Gerardo does it all. Having once performed as a vocalist with the band of Pedrito Martinez, Gerado knows how to maintain a torrid tempo. His shows frequently peak with the audience spontaneously rising from their seats and taking to the dance floor. | Luques CurtisA bassist highly in demand on both the Jazz and Latin Jazz front, Luques and his brother, pianist Zaccai, are at the forefront of a new generation. Luques studied at the prestigious Greater Hartford Academy of Performing Arts, and, later, the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Luques is a protégé of Andy Gonzalez, star bassist for the Fort Apache Band, who mentored Luques in the roots of Afro-Cuban music.
